Welcome, Sherri Kilgore!

With a career deeply rooted in middle school education, Kilgore began as an English teacher and has since amassed two decades of administrative expertise spanning both elementary and secondary education. Her extensive background includes 17 years as Principal at both Joseph School District for grades 4-12 and Imnaha School serving grades K-8. Most recently, Kilgore has been serving as Principal at McKay Creek Elementary in Pendleton since 2021.

"I understand the significant responsibilities that come with being a principal, and I find great fulfillment both professionally and personally in this role," Kilgore remarks. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated strong abilities in collaboration, leadership, effective management, and instructional improvement, fostering close-knit teams in her previous districts.

Kilgore is also committed to cultivating environments where students, staff, and parents feel valued and safe. Her expertise extends to behavior and discipline management, school safety initiatives, and trauma-informed leadership. "I am dedicated to continuously improving and learning, striving to create a school community where everyone feels appreciated and supported," she added.

Kilgore will be relocating to the area this summer and taking the helm at TDMS this August, "This opportunity represents a new chapter for me in a community that I have chosen and love."
