After School Academy
After School Academy will begin in October for the 2024/2025 School Year.
The After School Academy (ASA) is an afternoon academic and enrichment program for D21 students. We support the whole child and help them to reach their highest standards while motivating them to reach their fullest potential and graduating them to be college, career, and life ready. ASA is led by consistent and supported staffing. Our programming is a mix of academic enrichment, physical movement enrichment, STEM activities, and life skills enrichment with our community partners.
Ages: We focus on grades 2nd – 5th grade.
Location: After School Academy is currently offered at Chenowith Elementary but students at all North Wasco Elementary Schools are welcome. After School Transportation to our Chenowith program is provided.
Enrollment: Your child may be recommended to attend ASA if a teacher or other school staff member identifies them as needing additional academic support or other enrichment opportunities.
Commitment: To enroll in the program your child is required to attend 2 days a week on a regular basis. If your child is enrolled in sports or other school-sponsored activities after school and you are unsure if your child is eligible, please contact our After School Academy Director, Jamie Kerr at [email protected].
Program Enrollment
Program eligibility for After School Academy is determined by your student's school. There is no cost to participate in this program. ***Completion of form does not guarantee enrollment.
If your child remains after school to participate in other school-sponsored activities, they will participate in the After School Academy after the activity unless they have alternative transportation home.
After School Academy is in session the following days:
Monday: 2:30 – 5:30 PM
Tuesday: 2:30 – 5:30 PM
Wednesday: 1:30 – 5:00 PM
Thursday: 2:30 – 5:00 PM
***A minimum 3 days/week is required for enrollment.
